Feb 16, 2017 · It's harder to sharpen and holds a decent edge, but for the price it's pretty good. Personally I would choose well heat treated Aus 8 or S30V over D2, simply because I think all steels have trade off's and for my usage D2 isn't a good fit. But for the right price and the right use it's a fine steel.
