Grades of Hot and Cold Rolled Steel Alloys | Cold Finished 0183;32;Grades of Hot and Cold Rolled Steel Alloys American Iron & Alloys is a Steel Supplier . Although American Iron & Alloys makes its name from VersaBar continuous cast iron, a true hydraulic metal and a fantastic costeffective alternative to steel, we also provide raw stock of steel upon request. Please consult the list below for our available grades of hot rolled, cold rolled and finished grades of steel Location: 1700 Airport Rd, Waukesha, 53189, WI
Oct 23, 2019 · Hot rolled carbon steel is a metal alloy comprised mostly of iron with some carbon that is rolled down in size from an ingot, at a heat level above its recrystallization temperature. Forming hot rolled carbon steel at this high temperature gives it excellent mechanical properties while keeping costs lower than a cold rolled carbon steel.
Sep 11, 2014 · Cold rolled steel is essentially hot rolled steel that has had further processing. The steel is processed further in cold reduction mills, where the material is cooled (at room temperature) followed by annealing and/or tempers rolling. This process will produce steel with closer dimensional tolerances and a wider range of surface finishes.
Cold Rolled Steel Cold rolled steel is essentially hot rolled steel that has gone through more processing. To get cold rolled steel, manufacturers generally take cooled down hot rolled steel and
Hot Rolled Steel is widely available in the A36 steel alloy. The process to create Hot Rolled Steel creates a more ductile steel with a rough surface finish and is sometimes more difficult to machine. The cost is usually much less than a similar Cold Rolled product.
Hot rolling and cold rolling are two methods of shaping steel. During the hot rolling process, steel is heated to its melting point while being worked, changing the composition of the steel to make it more malleable. During cold rolling, the steel is annealed, or exposed to heat and allowed to cool, which improves ductility.
1.1 This specification covers hot rolled and cold rolled alloy and structural alloy steel sheet and strip. Alloy steel is furnished to chemical composition requirements and is intended primarily for general or miscellaneous use where bending and moderate forming is a requirement.
The steel materials shall be melt processed, hot rolled, cold rolled, and heat treated. Cast or heat analysis and product analysis shall be performed wherein the specimens shall conform to the required chemical compositions of carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, silicon, copper, nickel, chromium, molybdenum, vanadium, tungsten, and aluminum.
Rolled Alloys was founded on the introduction of wrought RA330 alloy as a replacement for cast HT alloy in the commercial heat treat industry. Over the past 60 years, the company has enjoyed continuous growth through the expansion of alloys offered, markets
Cold rolled steel is essentially hot rolled steel that has had further processing. The steel is processed further in cold reduction mills, where the material is cooled (at room temperature) followed by annealing and/or tempers rolling. The cold rolled process creates a finished product that is more precise dimensionally than a hot rolled product.
Hot Rolled Steel Properties. As it is easy to form metal in high temperatures without any extra delays, it is possible to produce it in larger quantities than cold rolled steel. This keeps the market price of hot rolled steel lower. The steel cools at room temperature. This is known as normalising.

As for the ranges"steel" is a non specific name for several alloys and it can be made in several grades, hence the ranges you've found. The material is usually designated with an alloy number. "Cold rolled" and "hot rolled" are methods for shaping the steel, and don't really tell you anything about the strength.
Aluminized steel is steel that has been hot dip coated both sides with aluminum–silicon alloy (5% 11%). This process assures a tight metallurgical bond between the steel sheet and its aluminum coating, producing a material with a unique combination of properties possessed neither by steel nor by aluminum alone. Aluminized steel shows a better behavior against corrosion and keeps the properties of the
